Narated By 'Aisha (radiallahuanha)
Allah's Apostle ﷺ said,
"Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds will not make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah's is the most regular and constant even though it were little."
Sahih Bukhari
Vol-8, Book 76, Hadith 471
يقول الشيخ محمد متولي الشعراوي رحمه الله:
Shaykh Sha'arawiy says:
عجبتُ لأربع يغفلون عن أربع:
I'm baffled by four persons faced by four situations, but forget four solutions:
1 - عجبتُ لمن ابتُـلى ( بغم ) ، كيف يغفل عن قول : ۞ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنتَ سُبحانكَ إني كنتُ من الظالمين ۞
1. Someone in Grief, how does he forget: (Laa ilaaha illaa anta, sub-haanaka, innii kuntu minadzaalimeen).
Don't you see what Allah says afterwards?
والله يقول بعدها ؛ ۞ فاستجبنا لهُ ونجيناهُ من الغم ۞
"So, we responded to him and saved him from GRIEF..."
2 - عجبتُ لمن ابتُـلى ( بضرّ ) ، كيف يغفل عن قول : ۞ ربي إني مسّنيَ الضرُ وأنتَ أرحمُ الراحمين ۞
2. Someone in SICKNESS, how does he forget to say (Rabbii innii massaniya-dhurr wa anta Arhamur-Raahimeen)
Don't you see what Allah says afterwards?
والله يقول بعدها ؛ ۞ فا ستجبنا له وكشفنا ما به من ضر ۞
"So, we responded to him and cured him from all his SICKNESS..."
3 -عجبتُ لمن ابتُـلى ( بخوفٍ ) ، كيف يغفل عن قول : ۞ حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل ۞
3. Someone in FEAR, how does he forget to say (Hasbunallaahu wa niimal-wakeel)
Don't you see what Allah says afterwards?
والله يقول بعدها ؛ ۞ فانقلبوا بنعمةٍ من اللهِ وفضلٍ لم يمسسهم سوء ۞
"Therefore, they returned with a great bounty from Allah and a great favour; ... no evil had befallen them."
4 - عجبتُ لمن ابتُـلى
بمكرِ الناس ) ، كيف يغفل عن قول : ۞"وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ" ۞
4. Someone facing PEOPLE'S EVIL; how does he forget to say (wa ufawwidu amrii illa-llaah, innallaaha baseerun bil-ibaad)
Don't you see what Allah says afterwards?
والله يقول بعدها ؛ ۞ فوقاهُ اللهُ سيئاتِ ما مكروا ۞
"Thus, Allah protected him from the EVIL they had planned..."

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) said:
“Trials will continue to befall the believing man and woman, with regard to themselves, their children and their wealth, until they meet Allah with no sin on them.”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2399; classed as saheeh (authentic) by al-Albani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 2280

The one who looks after and works for a widow.
Narrated Safwan bin Salim:
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) said "The one who looks after and works for a widow and for a poor person, is like a warrior fighting for Allah's Cause or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all the night."

How can we support our brothers who are in need or who have suffered disasters?
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said,
There are different ways of supporting a fellow believer:
with one’s wealth, with one’s position of authority or power, by means of physical service, by offering sincere advice and guidance, by making supplication (du’aa’) and asking for forgiveness for them, and by feeling their pain. The level of one’s support will be affected by the level of one's faith. The weaker a person's faith, the weaker his support will be; the stronger the faith, the stronger the support. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was the greatest of all people in his support for his companions, so the more closely his followers follow him, the greater will be their support for their fellow-believers.
